April 13, 2010 7 deputies representing all factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered a bill on the prohibition of psychics, healers, fortune tellers, palmists and services for the prediction of the future (fate) “.

The author of the bill is an MP, Chairman of the factional parliamentary group “For spirituality, morality and health of Ukraine Pavel Unguryan.

New rule of law prohibiting the activities of Psychics, healers, fortune tellers, palmists and services to predict the future or fate, the promotion and advertising of their activities in the media, as well as broadcasts and programs or video scenes involving the above-mentioned persons.

In addition, it is supposed to exclude from the list of State qualifier birth of Ukraine the following professional: 5151 – Astrologer, 5152 – fortuneteller, 5152 – palmist.

“The Government and the people’s deputies of Ukraine have long been receiving numerous complaints from citizens, Christian faiths, religious and community organizations concerned about the harmful effects of Ukrainian citizens work of psychics, healers, fortune tellers, palmists and dominance in the media and television variety of commercial software, which offers paid services of questionable content on the so-called healers, fortune-tellers and psychics, “- noted by Bill P. Unguryan.

People’s Deputy stresses that many people , according to audits of law enforcement agencies have been financially deceived by the aforementioned “leaders”. The seriousness of the situation, in his view, stress the significant negative psychological and moral implications of such activities.

Note that Islam forbids Muslims to listen, read and believe in all kinds of divination and horoscopes. As for witchcraft, in Islam recognizes its existence. Proof of this can serve as the next verse of the Quran: “Suleiman was not wrong, and wrong were shaitans: teach them witchcraft …” (Qur’an, 2:102). At the same time practicing witchcraft in Islam is considered one of the seven great sins, and for protection against Muslims turn to Allah with a prayer and read some verses from the Quran, the website “Islam in Ukraine”.
