Iran, despite everything, will continue its peaceful nuclear activities. It has been stated at a meeting with members of the Iranian Foreign Ministry and head of the Iranian spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
«The Islamic Republic, contrary to pressures that it have reached significant progress in nuclear studies. These studies will continue, despite the false sensation that rose around them, some countries, particularly the U.S., Britain and the Zionist regime. They will continue as long as necessary to achieve Iran’s full technological and scientific self-sufficiency in this field “, – quoted Khamenei Rosbalt”.
He criticized the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which last November issued a resolution that contained a condemnation of Iran for the construction of a new nuclear facility near the city of Qom, and has recently expressed doubts about the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program. “Some recent actions and statements of the Agency indicated that this international organization lacks independence,” – said the Iranian leader. He believes that the IAEA “should not be subject to the influence of the United States and certain other countries. “It does not add to the Agency the authority”, – said Khamenei.
Recall, Washington actually presented Tehran an ultimatum – accept the proposals of the six international mediators on the transfer of uranium to storage and beneficiation abroad the end of the year or face a new punitive measures.
