U.S. called on the Ugandan authorities do not take the law introducing the death penalty for homosexuality, reports the BBC, C.
According to the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Johnny Carson, the bill violates human rights and creates a precedent for other countries in the region.
In the Ugandan legislation and is provided for severe punishment for same-sex relationships, even by mutual consent – life imprisonment.
In the case of adoption of the bill, even attempt to engage in same-sex relationships would be sentenced to prison imprisonment for up to seven years.
