The Egyptian authorities have released eight students from Russia

Reasons for the detention of citizens of Russian Federation government of Egypt has not yet been announced.
Four Russian nationals were released immediately after verification of documents specified by representatives of the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Cairo. Eight Russians took to freedom on Saturday, May 30. Another 22 people remain in detention.
In addition to students from Russia, on the night of May 27 were arrested several dozen citizens of other states, including Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and well as France and Great Britain. Earlier on Saturday, became aware of the release of two Tajik students and five citizens of Kazakhstan.
Russian diplomats in connection with the detention of Russian citizens was sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt with a note demanding an explanation. Embassy staff will seek a meeting with the detained Russians to guarantee their legitimate rights.
